The Rev. Russell W. Johnson, rector
A native Minnesotan, Fr. Russ and his family moved to Kansas City in May, 1997 and has been the senior pastor of St. Peter’s since that time. He is married and has two daughters.
Fr. Russ is the convener of the Red Bridge Ministerial Association, active in
the Diocese of West Missouri’s various organizations, and is currently the
interim dean of the Metro Deanery.
He received his masters and doctoral degrees from Seabury-Western Theological Seminary and enjoys the development of small groups and has recently worked with creative members of the parish in establishing a contemporary 5:00 p.m. Saturday service.
